The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) is met with counterparts from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) for a productive discussion focusing on sustainable aviation efforts.

The high-level delegation from CAAS, led by Aviation Development Group Senior Director and Chief Sustainability Officer Daniel Ng, exchanged insights with CAAP Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo on Air Traffic Management (ATM) best practices.

Held at the CAAP Central Office from 26-27 March, the discussions also explored Singapore’s innovative “Sustainable Air Hub” blueprint, focusing on increasing the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).

CAAS Aeronautical Telecommunications and Engineering Director Loo Chee Beng, CAAS Air Traffic Services Director Vincent Hwa, and CAAS Info Air Traffic Management Deputy Director Ho Wee Sin were also present on behalf of CAAS.

On the Philippines’ side, CAAP’s Service Chiefs, Area Centers, as well as representatives from the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Transportation (DOTr), and Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) were also present via virtual conference. The collaborative exchange paves the way for a more sustainable and efficient future for air transport in both the Philippines and Singapore.
