LOOK: Clark Development Council (CDC) President and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera and other CDC officials paid a courtesy visit to Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo at the CAAP Central Office in Pasay City today, 18 July 2024.

During the visit, the CDC and CAAP officials engaged in a productive discussion focused on addressing the critical needs and expansion challenges facing the Clark Aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) industry.

As the national aviation authority of the Philippines, the CAAP ensures to provide sustainable and strategic solutions that will propel long-term expansion of the MRO sector in the country through activities and initiatives such as industry partnerships and streamlined Approved Training Organizations (ATO) certification and training procedures.

In attendance at the courtesy visit were CDC Assistant Vice President for External Affairs Rommel Narciso, CDC Corporate Social Responsibility and Placement Division Assistant Manager Ronald Antonio, and other CDC officials. Meanwhile, joining DG Tamayo were CAAP Deputy Director General for Operations Captain Edgardo G. Diaz, Acting Assistant Director General II for Flight Standards and Inspectorate Service Captain Florendo Jose C. Aquino, Assistant Director General II for Aerodrome Development and Management Service Col. Valentino A. Dionela PAF (Ret.), and other CAAP representatives. The courtesy visit is ahead of the scheduled CDC-led interagency meeting set for July 24 at the Clark Freeport Zone (CFZ) in Pampanga, which will include representatives from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Pampanga-based ATOs, and other significant figures from the aviation industry.
