The Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation Asia and Pacific Regions (DGCA) is the annual gathering of directors general of civil aviation authorities in the Asia and Pacific Region. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a specialized agency of the United Nations in matters concerning global air transportation and harmonization of principles in air navigation, acts as the steering committee of this prestigious aviation event.
In this conference, the directors general of member states convene to discuss various subject areas related to the development of civil aviation and air transport, aviation safety, air navigation, aviation security and facilitation, the economic development of air transport, as well as technical and regional cooperation.
The Philippines previously hosted the DGCA 2015, during the 52nd DGCA.
The country’s hosting and chairmanship of this event is CAAP’s pledge to its mission of ensuring a safe, secure and green Philippine Sky and is confirmation of the country’s efforts to stimulate collaboration and partnership among neighboring states, organizations, and stakeholders.
