GenSan – The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Area Center 11 proudly introduces new facilities at General Santos Airport, catering to the needs of both children and mothers with the Lactation Area and Children’s Play Area.

The Lactation Area, which has 3 cubicles, offers nursing mothers a private, comfortable, and hygienic space, addressing the critical need for privacy and convenience in the airport.
While the Children’s Play Area can accommodate 10 to 15 kids at a time, it offers a safe and joyful environment for young travelers, aiming to alleviate the stress of family travel by providing a dedicated space for children to play and unwind.
Both facilities are air-conditioned and open to the public with designated personnel available to assist individuals in utilizing these amenities, located on the second floor of the Passenger Terminal building.

General Santos Airport Manager Joel Gavina expresses pride in the successful completion of the projects, stating, “CAAP-GSIA not only enhances its infrastructure but also reaffirms its commitment as a community-oriented hub, continuously evolving to better serve its passengers. This event marks a significant milestone in the airport’s history and sets a benchmark for future enhancements aimed at fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.”
The facilities are aligned with Gender and Development (GAD) projects, mark a significant stride in improving the airport’s services and amenities for passengers, especially families and nursing mothers.
