CAAP PRESS RELEASE

18 March 2024

Pasay City- The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines received commendation for conducting its first-ever Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) Summit at the Citadines Bay City Manila on March 15.

The AMO Summit is one of the targeted conferences to be held by CAAP this year to further enhance its communication with stakeholders, with participation from 220 individuals representing 67 CAAP-certified maintenance organizations nationwide.

Stakeholders applauded CAAP for its data-driven and informative presentation on aviation business opportunities in connection with aviation recovery, supply chain, labor force and sustainability.

Furthermore, stakeholders had the chance to engage with CAAP management in executive sessions with Accountable Managers, enabling them to voice concerns and collaborate towards finding solutions and mutual understanding.

Due to the positive experience and enthusiastic feedback, stakeholders are urging CAAP to hold the AMO summit annually. Hence, in his speech, CAAP Director General Capt. Manuel Antonio L. Tamayo had already ensured that the AMO Summit would be held annually. “Moving forward, we hope to make this an annual event, alongside the Air Operators Summit to promote collaboration between the government and stakeholders for ensuring the highest level of safety for passengers in the Philippines and worldwide.”
