CAAP, together with partners from the Cooperative Development of Operational Safety and Continuing Airworthiness Programโ€”Southeast Asia (COSCAP-SEA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), concluded today the four-day workshop aimed at developing the knowledge of ASEAN CAA inspectors for the conduct of dangerous goods oversight.

The successful safety campaign was attended by 30 participants consisting of Directors General of Civil Aviation and National Coordinators of COSCAP-SEA Member States, and COSCAP-SA (South Asia) and facilitated by French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) Expert, Mr. Martial Cosset. Held at the Admiral Hotel in Manila from 16-19 June 2025, the workshop delved into the regulations, limitations, and classifications of dangerous goods.

According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), dangerous goods are defined as articles or substances which are capable of posing a risk to health, safety, property, or the environment.

The workshop was held in support of the Marcos administration’s commitment to ensuring safety in every corner of the nation.
