In addition to a previously released reminder, CAAP further establishes its strict banning of prohibited activities near airports and operational areas through its Memorandum Circular 026-2025.

The prohibited acts include:

โŒ Flying of unauthorized aerial objects within the airport vicinity such as kites, balloons, and lanterns (within 12-km radius) and drones (within 10-km radius)

โŒ Raising of birds within 12-kilometer radius from the airport (unless they are housed in secured cages)

โŒ Animal intrusions or the entering, roaming, or grazing of domesticated animals within airport premises

โŒ Unauthorized structures or the construction of permanent or temporary structure within 2 meters of the airport perimeter fence

โŒ Unauthorized vegetation or the sowing, tilling, or nurturing of vegetation within 2 meters of the airport perimeter fence

โŒ Hazardous lighting and emissions such as the operation of high-intensity lights or laser beams that could endanger aircraft operations

โŒ Interference with communications such as the operation of radio communication devices or any medium that may interfere with air traffic control communications and navigational aids

These activities are STRICTLY PROHIBITED to be performed by any individual, organization, and entities as these may pose risks or hazards to aircraft operations.

As CAAP continues to work hand-in-hand with concerned authorities to monitor and address these risks, we ask for the publicโ€™s cooperation in helping keep our skies safe.
