On March 18, 2025, a Laoag International Airport (LIA) security personnel proved that integrity is still at the heart of public service. LIA Lady Guard Rhea Taysa discovered a black leather handbag left behind on the gang chairs at the airport’s arrival area. Without hesitation, she turned it over to the CAAP Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS) office for safekeeping and verification.
An hour later, the rightful owner appeared to claim the bag, which contained cash amounting to P146,348, along with important identification documents. After a thorough verification process, the item was returned in its complete and untouched state. Grateful and relieved, the owner personally thanked and commended Lady Guard Taysa for her honesty and dedication.
CAAP salutes Lady Guard Rhea Taysa for upholding integrity and ensuring the safety and security of our passengers! Her selfless act is a testament to the commitment of CAAP personnel in serving with excellence and compassion.
