Exciting developments continue to be underway at Zamboanga International Airport as CAAP continues its commitment to enhancing air travel infrastructure across the Philippines.
Current improvements include comprehensive runway repair and grading, along with full rehabilitation of the passenger terminal building, both set for completion in August 2025. Additionally, construction of a runway turn-around pad and strip grade correction works are progressing well, with completion targeted for October 2025.
These upgrades will significantly enhance operations at the airport’s terminal, which serves hundreds of travelers with its 575-seat capacity and 4 aircraft parking bays.
CAAP and the Department of Transportation (DOTr) remain steadfast in its whole-of-nation approach to improving air transportation infrastructure, particularly in Mindanao. By strengthening this vital gateway in the southern Philippines, we’re ensuring safer flights, enhanced passenger experiences, and supporting the socio-economic advancement of Zamboanga and the entire region.
Stay tuned for more updates as we build better connections across our beautiful archipelago!
