With over 25 years of extensive experience in public administration and governance on a national and regional level, USEC Tamano brings an excellent track record of pioneering multiple projects to develop Central Visayas’ tourism products, destinations, activities, accessibility, and connectivity. He is also the leading proponent of several tourism product launches, market development, and stakeholder engagements in Central Visayas and SOCCSKSARGEN.

USEC Tamano is the former DOT Director for the Office of Special Concerns (2005), and the former spearhead of programs and departments, including the Halal Development Program, Internal Audit Service, and Legislative Liaison Unit. He also holds experience as the Regional Director of DOT-VII (Central Visayas), the Regional Director of DOT-XII (SOCCSKSARGEN), and the DOT Liaison to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
