Captain Tamayo is a graduate of the Philippine Air Force Flying School. He also holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from De La Salle University, Manila.

He has 16 years of Air Force experience, from becoming the Chief of Intelligence and Squadron Commander of the 704th Batch of FMS, to becoming a presidential escort to Former President Corazon C. Aquino in 1986.

He also has 28 years of commercial flying experience under the Philippine Airlines (PAL), with positions such as Chief Pilot, VP for Flight Operations, and Director of Operations.

Captain Tamayo has an impressive total of 13,400 hours of flying time.
